Meet Andrea, Your Photographer

Aside from being a photographer, Andrea is a wife and mother of two children - so it's safe to say she understands how chaotic life can be. She likes to call it a "happy chaos".  She is an avid podcast and audio book listener, will never pass up dinner at a Mexican Restaurant and thinks life is too short to always have the same hair (although the pink mohawk is by far her favorite).

Andrea has always been drawn to all things creative, but the reason she appreciates photography the most of all artforms is for its ability to freeze a moment in time. The way that you can look at an image and feel something - that is what she finds truly special about the visual arts.

Andrea's path to picking up a camera is a sentimental and emotional one - it began with the loss of her mother when she was 19. She realized one day sifting through a tote bag full of loose-printed photographs that she had very little photos of her mother to remember her by.

"I found myself every so often sifting through the same tote bag, hoping to find more photos that I had yet to see of her - when one day I found it. A photo of her, unprepared, mid laugh and in all her glory. The first thing I saw were her deep smile lines and pronounced crows feet and I felt a deep content that I hadn't felt in over a decade. In that moment, I swear I could hear her laughter and it was like she was still here again. I treasure that photo of my mom, and especially cherish the smile lines and crows feet ever present in it - those were signs of her laughter and smiles and I would give anything to see them again!"

Andrea hopes that her clients will be kind to themselves at every stage of life - no matter how they feel about their physical appearance. It's so important for her to let her clients know that they are living a life worth documenting. Your loved ones might only have a tote bag full of photographs to sift through some day to see your smile, so give them more than one to find.

I hope you never forget
